We have added a new section in our newsletter to include information that our grantees often send us about programs, conferences, publications, etc. that they have found to be invaluable. Feel free to send us anything you might come across. If there is room, we will include it in our next issue (April, July and December).
From Alex Lee, Project Laundry List - a recommendation to apply to "The Mesa Refuge" in Point Reyes, CA, a "place for writing on the edge" which "invites people to think and write about the edges between human activity - capitalism in particular - and the natural world we are obliged to preserve."
Residencies are for 2 to 6 weeks. Room and most meals are provided at no cost. The Mesa Refuge welcomes both experienced writers and accomplished individuals new to writing. The focus is on the human economy, the environment and social equity, and they encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. Applications are due by February 15th and June 15th.
